There are many ways of getting data out of Planet, depending on your particular requirements and what you want to do with the data you extract.
For a quick view of selected data and an Excel download tool, use the new 'Quick links' facility available from the home page. Currently only the 'Module summary' is available, but other screens are due to follow soon.
These are best for detailed specific extract selections. They are available from the link on the Home Page. Contact the Planet helpdesk if your requirements are not met by any of these existing queries.
These are designed to support standard common reports such as Curriculum Plan tables, Specification Approval Report, CCLs, etc. They are available from the menu and are coded 'REPxx'.
Before using reports, you may find it helpful to refer to the guide on using reports and Word files in Planet.
These provide data links from Planet to other internal systems. These include transfer of module and qualification records to CIRCE, transfer of assessment data to VLE on-line calendars, extract of data to Study at the OU.
